Word from the Ambassador

Welcome to the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Abuja, where we take pride in communicating with you.

The Embassy extends a warm welcome to all esteemed visitors and invites you to explore our website for the information you may need.

Nigeria is a diverse country with various people, cultures, and languages. As the fifth largest global producer of petroleum, it holds a strong economic position in Africa. Nigeria plays a crucial role in the extraction and export of oil and gas, with the largest population on the continent, significantly influencing its dynamics.

The relationship between Nigeria and Qatar started approximately three decades ago, leading to the establishment of embassies in Abuja and Doha in 2013. Nigeria supported Qatar during the blockade, and official delegations have engaged in ongoing visits. Both countries share economic cooperation and cultural exchange.

We are excited about the future as both parties collaborate to strengthen economic ties, address challenges, and build a robust partnership for development and stability. Check our website for details and join us in shaping a bright future together.
