His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Ghanem Al-Hajri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, inaugurated the headquarters of Qatar Airways in the Nigerian capital, Abuja, during an event held on this occasion in Abuja.

Present at the event was Her Excellency Mrs. Mariya Mahmud, Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, and a number of heads of diplomatic missions and senior government officials in the country participated in the event.

The inauguration of the Qatar Airways office in Abuja, represents a new page in the airways’ history in Nigeria. Qatar Airways has strengthened its presence in Nigeria by adding both Kano and Port Harcourt states to its destinations in the country in 2022, making it the most widespread foreign airline in Nigeria particularly, and Africa at large.
